Hoodies for Trayvon

Good morning, Traditioners!

In the aftermath of the brutal murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, students like you are making a nationwide statement and calling for change. Members of the Howard University, Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Clark Atlanta University communities, among several other HBCUs, wore hoodies in memory of Trayvon's life and marched to their local legislative offices to have their voices heard.

FAMU, one of the leading HBCUs in this modern-day Civil Rights movement, joined hands with the community specifically demanding the arrest of George Zimmerman who killed Trayvon after insisting he was a threat to the neighborhood where his father lived.
